“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
- Aristotle
As our name states, no one is perfect (not even your therapist). Our goal is not to become perfect, but to continually grow. This is so we can know, accept, and love ourselves for who we authentically are.
Our work focuses on the whole self, speaking to who you were yesterday, who you are today, and who you will be tomorrow. Our sessions are a safe place to explore your life, your loves, your challenges, and your passions, making sure that you are living in alignment with your most authentic and happy life.
We believe that therapy is built on relationships, especially the trusting and safe relationship between the client and therapist. We provide individual, virtual psychotherapy sessions, pulling from the psychoanalytic teachings of Freud, along with modern techniques.
Hi, I’m Zoe! I am a geek who loves D&D, Stargate, Doctor Who, and so many more sci-fi/fantasy things. In my work as a therapist, I believe it’s important to bring in stories and metaphors into the process, which allows us all to have a common language.
A transgender woman who came out later in life and grew up navigating hearing loss and learning disabilities, I have experienced firsthand that this world is not always built for those who are different. I founded Nobody’s Perfect with the goal of creating a safe, welcoming, and accepting space to help clients heal and embrace their authentic selves.
My journey as a Clinical Social Worker started in 2010 at Fordham University. After obtaining my Masters in Social Work, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of people, working in Supportive Housing and collaborating with organizations specializing in supporting individuals who utilized substances. These experiences expanded my view on how to treat patients from a holistic and person-centered perspective.
Oh, also, if you choose to work with me, you will get a chance to see my two beautiful fur babies… Hugh and Oscar!
